Main Sections of RedFlag
Groups
Groups are used to organize your recipients and desktops for easier messaging.
- Static Groups: Manually created groups where recipients/desktops are manually added or removed.
- Dynamic Groups: Automatically populated groups based on matching data field values (e.g., Job Title = Manager).
- Geofenced Groups: Automatically created based on a group's, recipient’s, or desktop’s physical location using group location coordinates, address data, or location services from devices.
- Synced Groups: Synced groups to import recipients into RedFlag from external system (sFTP, Azure AD, Paylocity API, Data Connector integrations).
Recipients
Recipients are the individuals you communicate with through RedFlag.
- Each recipient has a profile that stores:
- Contact information (email, phone numbers, etc.).
- Delivery channel preferences (which communication methods they opt into or out of).
- Additional data fields (e.g., department, job title, location) used for filtering and dynamic grouping.
Desktops
Desktops are workstations or computers with the RedFlag Desktop App installed. These devices can receive desktop notifications directly from RedFlag.
- Desktops have their own profiles, similar to recipients, but tied to the device itself.
- Desktops can also be grouped into static, dynamic, or geofenced groups.
🛡️ Note: The Desktop feature is not included in every RedFlag plan.
