Voice Call Issues

This article outlines common issues related to Voice Calls and how they occur.

Cannot Repeat Message or Respond to Polling/Acknowledgement

If a recipient does not answer and the call goes to voicemail, the voicemail will still include all message details and the replay or response prompts (e.g., for Acknowledgement or Polling).

However, since voicemail is not a live call, the recipient will not be able to respond to these prompts or replay the message.

🛡️ Note: These interactive options are only available during a live call when the recipient answers directly.

Voice Message Cut Off

Success in auto-detecting voicemail varies by recipient, as each may have different voicemail settings—such as system-generated greetings or personal recorded greetings.
Automated dialers may begin playing the message early if:

  • There is a pause in the voicemail greeting
  • The system cannot detect the “beep” due to poor line quality or low volume
  • Background noise interferes with detection

When a voicemail greeting begins, RedFlag waits up to 45 seconds before starting message playback.

  • If the system detects a beep before 45 seconds, the message starts immediately.
  • If no beep is detected, the message automatically starts after 45 seconds.

If the voicemail greeting exceeds 45 seconds, the message may begin playing while the greeting is still playing, causing the beginning of the message to be cut off.

Recommendation: Recipients should review and shorten their voicemail greeting. Greetings longer than 45 seconds can prevent the full message from being captured.

Voice Message Keeps Repeating

To ensure recipients hear the entire message, RedFlag automatically plays the message three times. This helps if a portion was missed or cut off during the first playback.
