Organizing Recipients or Desktops into Groups in RedFlag
Introduction to Groups
- Organize recipients/desktops into groups for efficient messaging.
- Unlimited grouping allowed.
- Recipients and Desktops can be in multiple groups.
- Only active groups show when creating messages.
1. Creating a Group
- Access existing group list or create a new group.
- Select "Create Group" and name the group.
- Add a description and choose group type (static, dynamic, geofencing).
Static Group
- Manual group for adding people.
- Bulk upload option available.
- Add existing recipients/desktops from RedFlag account.
Dynamic Group
- Uses specific contact data for automatic filtering.
- Select data fields for filtering.
- Add individual recipients/desktops outside selected data fields.
Geofencing Group
- Pick information based on coordinates from a map.
- Options for existing coordinates, device coordinates, or addresses.
- Select pins on the map to create the group.
2. Options
Static Groups can set up as SELF-SUBSCRIBE (only applicable to accounts that have Recipient App enabled),
Static and Dynamic groups offer AUTO CC (group will be cc’d on every message sent from the system) or can have LOCATION COORDINATES added (latitude and longitude location coordinates pinned to group for geofencing).
Static, Dynamic and Geofencing can be PROTECTED (changes cannot be made to the group set up except by a Super Admin).
3. Managing Groups
- Active groups show when creating messages.
- Remove a group by changing it to active and selecting the remove option.
- Note: Groups types cannot be edited once they have been created.
