Quick Guide to Optional Features

Overview

RedFlag includes a range of optional features you can configure to fit how your organization communicates. None of these are required to start sending messages. Review each one below and decide which ones you'd like to set up for your location.

This article is split into two sections:

  • Optional Features for All Locations: Available to every RedFlag location.
  • Optional Features Based on Your Plan: Available depending on the features included in your plan.

Optional Features for All Locations

Sender Information

πŸ“ To access Email Domains, go to: More > Setup > Email Domains

Sender information controls how your messages show up for recipients. When recipients recognize the sender, they're more likely to open and trust your messages.

  • Email: By default, RedFlag emails are sent from no-reply@redflaghub.com. You can add a custom email domain so emails come from your organization's domain instead (for example, alerts@yourdomain.com). You can also update the From Name, banner image, colors, and fonts in your email template.
  • Text: Text messages are sent from your location's 10DLC number, which you selected during brand registration.
  • Voice Calls: Voice calls are sent from your location's caller ID number. This is usually a different number from your text number.

πŸ›‘οΈ Note: A custom email domain has to be authenticated with DNS records (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) before RedFlag can send from it. Your IT team should also whitelist RedFlag's sending IP address, 167.89.17.161, so RedFlag emails aren't filtered or blocked.

Contact Card

πŸ“ To access Contact Card, go to: More > Setup > Contact Card

The Contact Card lets recipients save your organization's contact information directly to their phone. This makes your messages easier to recognize and cuts down on confusion about who is sending them.

  • Enter your business name, website, support email, support phone number (optional), and address.
  • Your sending email address, text number, and voice call number fill in automatically from your location settings.
  • Upload your logo so it appears when recipients save the contact.
  • Download the Contact Card and attach it to a message, or include it in your text welcome message.

Welcome Message

πŸ“ To access Welcome Message, go to: More > Setup > Welcome Message

Welcome Messages are sent automatically to newly added recipients to introduce your organization's use of RedFlag. You can set up an email welcome message, a text welcome message, or both.

  • Explain what types of messages recipients will receive.
  • List the channels you'll use (email, text, voice).
  • Include a Contact Card link in the text message so recipients can save your number.
  • Add your Recipient App link so recipients can manage their notification preferences.

πŸ›‘οΈ Note: Each recipient receives the welcome message only once. Welcome messages are only sent between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM in your location's time zone. Welcome Message must be enabled for your location, so contact Support if you don't see it under Setup.

Add Additional Users

πŸ“ To access Users, go to: More > Users

πŸ›‘οΈ Note: The number of users available for your location depends on your plan.
